About Our School

Brookside Adventist Higher Secondary School, operated by the Seventh-Day Adventists, welcomes children from all communities. As an English medium day school, we offer classes from Pre-Nursery to Class XII, guided by qualified and dedicated teachers committed to our students' success.

Our school's story began in 1938 with two pioneering Seventh-Day Adventist missionaries, Mrs. Marcella Ashlock and Mrs. Sylvia Lange. From a small church school, we have grown into a nurturing institution that has shaped countless lives by blending true Christian values with quality education.

Our Motto

"With God We Excel"

Pledged on the Motto, the school also aims at preparing students to make a good living and teach them how to live a God-fearing life. The Bible says, ‘for what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and lose his soul”. Closer to God makes the difference. Hence, our pursuit for the personality development of a child is borne on intellectual, physical, moral and spiritual upbringing. These knit together becomes a force. For an overall smooth working of the institution we have framed rules as to minimize confusion and goals worked towards. May the Almighty give us the grace to be able to please Him who is so concerned about our whole being. We believe in humble submission to Him that life may be made worthy of living.

Our Aim

Since this is a Christian Institute, Christian principles have first place in determining its policies and has for its definite purpose the development of an enlightened conscience, a strong character and spiritual ideals. The school also aims at helping the students to get a good academic training and thus enable them to assume their responsibilities in the family and in society. No religious test is required of any student who seeks admission into the school but it is expected that all who made application thereby pledge respect and honour for the Christian principles upon which the school is founded. The school stresses the importance of a fourfold education, the physical, the mental, the spiritual and social education.

Admission is given in accordance with the Admission policy of the School. Application forms of Rs. 300/- for admission may be collected from the cash counter. An applicant can also avail a school prospectus and handbook, at Rs. 100/-

It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to The Brookside Adventist Higher Secondary School Website. I hope and pray that this initiation will equip the school with greater efficacy and effectiveness. The main aim and objective of this website is to familiarize everyone about our school, its rules and regulations and other procedures as well.

Our school is operated by the Seventh - day Adventist church for children of all communities. The school stresses on the fourfold education i.e, the physical, mental, spiritual and social education and it desires to make a difference in the lives of all children. The school handbook contains information that is very important and useful, therefore I urge you to read it very carefully and thoughtfully.

With the emergence of the global pandemic, we are faced with uncertainty, and it is inevitable that every person must face the practical realities of life - its opportunities, its responsibilities its defeats and its successes.

"We are all aware that education is a continuous and a life-long learning process. This same education will prepare us to cope the varied experiences we will encounter in our lives."

2020 has brought drastic changes in the field of teaching /learning process – but together we will strive to grow and learn. With online learning, we have and we will encounter many hurdles and obstacles, but one thing I can assure you is that we are committed to serve our students with dedication, zeal and enthusiasm.
